3 Simple Lifestyle Changes to Live More Consciously

how to live sustainably

These past few months I have been making some simple lifestyle changes to live a more healthy and sustainable life. They have been easy to implement and to stick with. Since exploring the world of green beauty, I have seen other areas of my life I can clean up and make more intentional, and more health-conscious.

Mable Tooth Brush Adult

Toothbrush

Probably the easiest lifestyle change I have made has been to swap my plastic toothbrush for a bamboo toothbrush. Why make the switch? Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial and completely biodegradable. Since we are supposed to swap our toothbrushes every couple months, this can make a lot of plastic waste ending up in landfills. The toothbrush I have been using and loving is by MABLE. They are a pretty well known toothbrush company who make brushes for kids and adults!

Water Bottle

After doing some research into the amount of plastic waste is generated by single-use plastic water bottles, I knew I needed to make a change. Switching to a reusable water bottle (like this one from Amazon), is better for the environment, your wallet and your overall health. Chemicals from the plastic bottle can leach into your water (yuck!) and are detrimental to your wellbeing.

Deodorant

Switching to a natural deodorant is much more simple now that there are so many more natural options available. Although the switch may be simple, it has not always been the easiest for me. I have tried countless natural deodorants, but none seem to fit my active lifestyle. I would always have to return to conventional deodorant, which had aluminum and other ingredients that weren’t great for me. But, this saga has a happy ending with me finding this deodorant from Primally Pure. It is extremely effective and makes the transition super easy!

How have you been taking steps to live more consciously? Let me know in the comments!
